Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Jan 19
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a light, airy bouquet of breezy, carefree red fruit; a touch of cold stone emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh opening. There is plenty of vigor here, leading to a well-defined, sorbet-fresh finish with orange peel lingering on the aftertaste. Very fine.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
